A.I.: Building the Human + Machine Workforce

For years, our IT teams have effectively utilized A.I. tools, such as Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Chatbots, incrementally advancing our technical operations. The transition was largely seamless from an employee’s perspective because the resulting automation and simplification of routine tasks caused minimal disruption to their daily activities. However, the emergence of A.I. tools like Chat GPT is compelling us to rethink our approach. A.I. is no longer merely an automation tool, but an essential part of our workforce.

Join our panel of experts to explore an example of how one company implemented a private A.I. Large Language Model (similar to Chat GPT) in its customer service environment, including its unique differences from conventional M.L. and A.I. systems.

We will discuss the transformative impact on your teams, and the necessary upskilling required to navigate this new era of workplace A.I. We will highlight key challenges to prepare for, from security assurance of A.I.-generated code, to the verification of authenticity during A.I.-assisted candidate screening and more.

We will conclude with insights on assessing the risk and reliability of generative A.I. vendor tools, adhering to emerging A.I. regulations, and strategies to kick-start your LLM/Generative A.I. journey.

+ KEY TAKEAWAYS:

• Top 3-5 considerations with respect to talent needed to put M.L. and Generative A.I. into production.  This includes technical talent to design/build/train systems (in-house and contractors) and upskilling staff (e.g. customer service team) on how to work with their A.I. "colleague."

• Top 3-5 risks to consider when implementing M.L. and Generative A.I. (e.g. what if Open A.I. trains its model on your proprietary data, what if an A.I. chatbot advises a customer to do something that causes harm to the customer or organization?).

• Team and technical lessons learned from a case study of implementing Generative A.I. in a corporate environment.

INVESTING FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE:
The Importance of ESG in the CIO Agenda

In recent years, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues have become increasingly important for investors and businesses alike. As fiduciaries, CIOs are responsible for managing their clients' assets and generating returns over the long term. However, in today's world, investment decisions cannot be made in isolation from ESG considerations.

This panel will explore the role of ESG in the CIO agenda and how it is shaping investment strategies. Our panel of experts will discuss key ESG factors that investors should consider, such as climate change, social responsibility, and corporate governance. They will also explore the challenges of integrating ESG into investment processes and how technology can help. The panelists will share their insights on best practices and lessons learned from implementing ESG strategies in their own organizations.

+ KEY TAKEAWAYS:

• What is ESG as seen through the eyes of a financial, heath care, and technology company?

• Why should you care?

• What approaches can you take in terms of moving helping to develop and forward the enterprise ESG agenda, KPI's, and outcomes.
